The short column must be placed on the high step, while the tall column should be positioned on the low step. Failure to do so will result in a very small adjustment angle, requiring you to immediately swap the positions of the two columns.
Furthermore, it is crucial that you do not tighten the screws before re-installing and adjusting the angle. This will ensure the screws remain loose, allowing for a proper and secure installation.
